WELCOME

Get involved and inspire!

Modern. Politically informed. Committed. The Bavarian Young Farmer's Association (BYFA) drives current ideas forward and shapes behavioural trends. We take charge of our own lives and look into the future with a sense of responsibility. Our principles are open-mindedness, integrity and compassion.

With 20.000 members in Bavaria, our Association plays an important role in political activities and promotion of personal development. Our organisation encompasses not only farmers but all young people from the countryside are welcome to join.

WHAT WE OFFER

Be an active part of it!

The Bavarian Young Farmer's Association places great emphasis on personal development. Our members work together, fostering a collective awareness and sense of community. We hold a varied range of seminars to meet the many demands of modern and traditional youth culture. A lot of the events take place in the conference centre of the Bavarian Young Farmers (Seminarhaus) at the foot of the Zugspitze Mountain in Grainau.

Depending on their area of interest, our members can also participate in working groups; AK I for youth and sociopolitical issues, or AK II for agricultural politics. AK I offers information events as well as field trips. The "AK I days" round off the youth political programme. AK II works on statements on agricultural policies, organises competitions and develops international relations.

YOUNG FARMERS

Meet and share experiences!

We are cutting-edge entrepreneurs who do our utmost for a socially-responsible and modern agriculture. Groups of young farmers, farmers’ wives, and breeders’ associations organise training courses on agricultural engineering, judging of livestock, modern business and time management. We also offer educational trips at home and abroad. The 'Days of Grainau' (Grainauer Tage) are the agri-political highlight of the year.

RURAL YOUTH

Have fun and learn !

Our rural youth clubs offer all interested young people an exciting combination of sport, culture, local customs and education. These programmes include amateur theatre, public speaking, and youth exchanges at home and abroad. Through this we get to know other countries and cultures.

We also organise a yearly ski and snowboard championship and go canoeing in the Altmühltal.
